Artwork at Superhero day

Image
Superhero day was a great success. So many local law enforcement and even a fire truck was there to make the event special! I'm very pleased with how the painted panels turned out and thankful for the opportunity to paint them.  It was a great experience and I hope to have the opportunity to paint for more events.     The banners up and finished. The only problem I noticed was the light shining through the the sheet from the window made it hard to get a good picture of them and made the images darker. Supergirl Police Superman

Chick-Fil-A Superhero Day!

Image
Saturday September 29th Chick-Fil-A on Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee is putting on a superhero day! The event will take place from 11-3 with visits from the police and maybe some other superheros! What a great idea to honor our local superheros! I was hired by Chickfila to paint some of the fictional superheros and some of our local superheros on sheets that will be hung in the windows of the store. I painted six panels and a window. I'll be putting up pictures of the actual event with all the banners (there are six in all) after it has happened tomorrow. Firefighter Police Supergirl (Design by DC Comics) Window outside of the play area. I tried to represent as many of the local law enforcement as I could. I may not have gotten all of them, but it should be a pretty good representation of our local hero's.

Murals I have done in various places.

FLAUNT 2012

Last year I won Best in Show and this year I am the exhibiting artist at the Bookshelf. http://www.thomasvillearts.org/exhibitions/flaunt-2012-upcycledowntown/ Local artists are pulling out all the stops to bring Thomasville to the “recycle table”. Downtown merchant locations will brim with a wide variety of fascinating and creative art containing recycled or upcycled components, created by the southeast’s most talented painters, jewelers, fiber artists and sculptors. A full weekend of activities abounds on the bricks of downtown Thomasville and at the Center. See the schedule below, and mark your calendar so you don’t miss a minute. While taking in cool art, and meeting interesting artists, you’ll learn a little more about who’s doing their part for recycling. We think you’ll surprised to find out how several local businesses are working to be “green”, and how 28 FLAUNT artist’s cleverly blended corporate recycling trash into their upcycled couture.
