Artists Statement

I was born and spent most of my childhood in New Jersey. I have been painting in oils for ten years.  I attended Florida State University where I received my BS in Art Education and my BFA in Fine Arts.  My focus was painting in oils on canvas.  At the end of my time at Florida State I started exploring the idea of beauty and hyperrealism through oils. Flaunt: 25 Art competition

This is an exciting opportunity that I am able to take part in! I hope that everyone will come out on Saturday, September 24th from 10a.m.-2p.m. FLAUNT: 25 is a juried art competition designed to elevate the works of 25 talented artists in 25 downtown Thomasville locations for 25 days. It begins Friday, September 23 with a members-only opening night reception. The public opening will be Saturday, September 24 and the exhibit will continue through October 17. It will be at the downtown Thomasville shops on Broad Street. Supporting these artists are 25 downtown merchants who are providing exhibit space for the FLAUNT artists, creating a downtown art-walk.  Kicking off the event on Sept. 23 is a members-only opening night reception followed by a Saturday morning public opening, Sept. 24, providing all 25 artists the opportunity to exhibit and sell pieces of their art from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Some links that speak more about this exciting art show: http://timesenterprise.com/news/
