My focus is painting in oils on canvas. At the end of my time at
Florida State I started exploring the idea of beauty and hyperrealism
through oils. I graduated from Florida State December of 2007. Since
graduation I have taught art in a number of Elementary Schools. I am
currently a stay at home mom to a wonderful little boy.
I have continued
to explore the human face and the beauty found in the details. There is
beauty in the process of aging and in what may seem an uncomfortable
closeness of a face. Not only is the face a wonderful thing to behold,
but also I find it is best captured through paint on canvas. Just as
life paints lines on our face so my paintings accentuate the beauty of
life shown in the face.
My main goal in painting is to honor God for the talents He has given me
and I feel blessed to be able to share them with others.
